Cockroach Tarpon Fly - Florida Keys Tarpon Fly - La Cucaracha SaltwaterFlies.com

Cockroach Tarpon Fly

One of the all-time classic tarpon flies and still a very useful and important pattern for tarpon in a wide variety of locations. Traditional splayed feather tails make a nice swimming action in the water, and the barred pattern on the feathers is suggestive of many shrimp, crabs, and baitfish. Excellent fly for both clear water and backcountry situations. Alternate photos: Grizzly/Orange, Grizzly/Tan. Please note that we have switched over to the silver colored Gamakatsu SL12 #1/0 hook for these flies, so flies that are shipping now are on the silver hook (Photo of the Grizzly/Orange link above shows the current hook style).
